This safari offers an opportunity to travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park provides a thrilling experience as you go through undulating hills and small-scale farmlands. It provides a memorable experience when you spend time in the jungle viewing varieties of primates and birds but most importantly tracking the giant mountain gorillas. Bwindi being a tropical rain forest provides an amazing experience to nature lovers but not forgetting the beautiful and hospitality of the local community who showcase their culture. Later proceed to Lake Bunyonyi a beautiful place with an amazing scenery good for relaxation and a good atmosphere which also favorable to bird watchers and not for getting the and very many bird species

Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, gorilla tracking.
Day 3: Travel to Lake Bunyonyi
Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi, boat ride, birding.
Day 5: Return to Kampala.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park:
Have an early breakfast and depart from Kampala and head Western Uganda. A brief stop at the Equator provides an opportunity of photographing. Continue to the rolling hills and terraced landscapes of Kabale District. Have lunch in Mbarara town and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for a night.
Mahogany Springs or Lake Mutanda Chameleon Hill Lodge or Wagtail Eco Lodge or Buhoma Community Bandas

Travel Time: About 9-11 Hours

DAY 2: Gorilla Tracking, Cultural Entertainment:
After an early morning breakfast and guide briefing, set off for your gorilla tracking in the forests of Bwindi. This Park is best known for the fascinating gorillas, where the time taken to find them and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. Though the time spent to track down these Gorillas is unpredictable, the thrill of spending time and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they play and interact.

A packed lunch, drinking water will be carried along as you track, comfortable boots or sturdy shoes, as well a light rain jacket are also important due to the unpredictable weather of Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Walking sticks will be available from the park rangers. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants. In the evening, proceed to the village for a cultural walk to interact with the local people. Participate in captivating traditional performances presented by Women’s groups or orphan children groups. Note that the fees you pay for these performances go directly to improve the welfare of families around the park.

Day 3: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi:
You can opt to first have a guided nature walk in Bwindi. This decision should be based on whether you should use the village trial or one of the five trails. After lunch break, we depart for Lake Bunyonyi.
Bird’s Nest or Arcadia Cottages or Lake Bunyonyi Overland Camp or Bushara Island Camp
Travel time: About 2 to 4 hours.

Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi:
Given the inevitable rigorous day at Bwindi, most clients will cherish some relaxing moments on the shores of this peaceful lake. Tourists will choose among the various tour activities. They can choose to go birding, cycling, and sun bathing, swimming or even canoeing.

Meal Plan: Full Board.

DAY 5: Travel back to Kampala City:
Take breakfast, and then transfer to Kampala, time permitting we shall have a Partial City tour and later shopping in the city craft shops. In case your flight is on the same day, you will later transfer to the airport for your return flight back home.

Travel time: About 7-8 Hours
